Assignment Due Date

Hello everyone!

Assignments for Equivalent Exchange 2019 are due Thursday, September 26 at 11:59 PM UTC. This may be earlier than midnight in your time zone, so please reference the countdown timer here!

• Extensions up to 48 hours may be given at the mod’s discretion.
• To post your assignment, go to the AO3 collection and choose “My Assignment” from the menu on the left. Then, in the upper right-hand side of the screen, click the “Fulfill” button, which will link you to a screen where you can post your fic or art as normal.
• A mod will be checking your work at a random time after the due date, so make sure that whatever you upload is complete and presentable. 
• This is a secret exchange. Creator identities will be revealed on October 10. Before then, do NOT contact your recipient for ANY reason -- this will ruin their surprise, and destroys a lot of the fun of this event. If you have questions about your assignment and want to ask something of your recipient, email the mods at equivalentexchangemod@gmail.com and we will act as an intermediary. Unfortunately we have already had a complaint this year; please keep everything anonymous until October 10!
• If someone reaches out to you indicating that they are your creator for this exchange, please email or PM the mod account immediately so we can speak with them. 

As we draw closer to the assignment due date, especially for those of you who are not signed up this round, remember that treats are also welcome in this exchange! 

• A treat is an extra gift that you create for someone who may not have been assigned to you. (You can also create extra treats for the person who was assigned to you after you finish their main gift!)
• You are allowed to write or draw treats even if you are not signed up for this round of the exchange!
• You are allowed to post treats after the assignment due date, and even after other gifts have been revealed.
• Treats do not have to meet the minimum requirements but they must fulfill at least one of the participant’s requests and steer clear of all their DNWs.
• To find someone to treat, check out the requests summary page and look over the prompts and letters there! When looking for people to treat please remember that this exchange welcomes all characters, ships, and ratings and that any kind of spitefic, spiteful art, shaming, or harassment is strictly against the rules.
• To post a treat, click the "Post to Collection" button on the collection page. Post the gift as you would normally, making sure you put the username of the person you're treating in the "Gift this work to" box.
